Desired College and Major:

I am committed to a university outside of Colorado to continue playing baseball. I plan to major in criminal justice to pursue either a career in law enforcement or continue playing baseball at the next level.

 

Career Objective:

I would like to become a police officer or detective. My goal has always been to give back to my community and help people in any way I can.

 

Community Service Activities:

I have participated in multiple community service activities, including volunteering with national remembrance events, helping at local food banks, assisting youth baseball players, and serving in student leadership roles throughout high school.

 

Baseball Activities:

I have played varsity baseball for three years and have been part of multiple postseason appearances, including regional championships and a state tournament run. I strive to lead with professionalism and compassion both on and off the field. I have earned recognition such as most improved player, honorable mention all‑conference, and ranking among the top players in RBI production. I also play for a local club team and continue to develop my leadership skills through the sport.

Outside of School Activities:

I have been involved in student leadership for several years and try to be a positive influence on campus. I am active in my faith community, attend church regularly, and help lead a school‑based faith group. I also participate in club baseball outside of the school season.

 

Career Goal in 2 Years:

In two years, I hope to be playing varsity baseball at the college I am committed to, fulfilling my dream of competing at the collegiate level. I also hope to continue growing in my faith and developing as a person.

 

Career Goal in 5 Years:

In five years, I hope to either be playing baseball at a higher collegiate level or pursuing professional opportunities. If not playing professionally, I plan to be working in law enforcement and giving back to the community that helped shape me.

 

Career Goal in 10 Years:

In ten years, I hope to be either playing professional baseball or working as a detective. I also hope to be a husband and father, helping my future children grow into the best people they can be.

 

Why This Grant?:

I am applying for this grant because I have played baseball in Northern Colorado my entire life and want to represent the region at the collegiate level. I believe Northern Colorado baseball is often overlooked, and I want to show what players from this area can accomplish. This grant would help my family financially and support my efforts to continue playing baseball while being a leader on and off the field.

 

How This Grant Will Help Me:

This scholarship would significantly help my family financially and allow me to continue pursuing my dream of playing baseball at the collegiate and potentially professional level. It would also give me the opportunity to represent Northern Colorado baseball and demonstrate what players from this region can achieve.
