About Friends of Baseball

Friends of Baseball is a dedicated group of baseball enthusiasts committed to supporting and growing the sport in Weld County and the surrounding areas. With 20-25 active members, we organize several key events throughout the year, including our annual Breakfast of Champions, which raises funds through donations and auctions. We invite baseball legends and players to speak at the event, drawing in a passionate crowd. In addition, we host a charity golf tournament where each foursome gets the unique opportunity to play with a former MLB player. We also offer free youth clinics and support various local baseball programs and institutions, all with the goal of keeping baseball thriving in our community.

Our mission is to enhance and sustain local baseball programs, from youth to college, by making capital improvements, providing operational support, and building additional facilities as needed. Founded in 1988 by a small group of passionate baseball lovers, Friends of Baseball now boasts over 25 members and several sponsors, all working together to keep the sport thriving in our community.
