Gary Harper Award

The annual Gary Harper Scholarship is awarded to the player who exemplifies the spirit, enthusiasm, and love for the game that Gary Harper brought to every game and every day of his life.

2025 Winner

Cash Weber

Cash is a senior at Holyoke High School, having grown up on the family farm in Amherst, CO. Throughout his high school career, Cash has been highly active in various organizations such as 4-H, FFA, FBLA, NHS, and Student Council. Additionally, Cash has participated in nearly every sport offered by HHS, including football, basketball, baseball, and track. Cash has had the privilege of assuming leadership roles both in academics and athletics, serving as a class officer for three years and holding officer positions in 4-H and FFA. Moreover, Cash has been honored to captain the football, basketball, and baseball teams. His teams have enjoyed postseason success consistently throughout his high school tenure, and one of his most memorable moments was winning the State Champion title in the 4X400 at the Colorado State Track Championships last year. His team is gearing up to defend their title next week! Apart from assisting on the family farm, Cash spent last summer coaching for the City of Holyoke Recreation department. He coached three age divisions of youth baseball, and winning the Little League championship was definitely a highlight. Cash is eagerly looking forward to coaching baseball again this summer. As for his future plans, Cash aims to pursue a degree in Agricultural Business at Northeastern Junior College. Following the completion of his associate of science degree, he intends to transfer to a university to earn his bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business.
